Lafayette winters are long enough to freeze pipes in a house with the heat off and the water on. A lot of local turnover is ordinary: a tenant moves, the next lease is weeks away, and the house sits. In West Lafayette that gap often lands when the Purdue year turns over. Occupied rentals use a different plan

Care is $79 per unit each month and Priority Care is $129. Both are a quarterly visit, every 90 days, while someone lives there. This winterize page is the seasonal event for a vacant door. Yes. Welcome Home’s standard setback on a vacant winterize is 55°F unless you direct a different temperature. The heat has to actually run. Some insurance policies expect a minimum of their own. Check yours. This is not insurance advice.

A single-family house is $199 to winterize, $175 to reopen, and $349 for the bundle. A duplex side is $175, $150, and $299. Multi-unit work on the same trip is $149, $129, and $249 per unit. Rush is +$75. Those figures are the locked prices. A same-day percent discount is not part of this table.

Does a West Lafayette rental between leases use Care or the vacant package?

If someone still lives there, Care ($79) or Priority Care ($129) is the quarterly occupied visit. If the unit is empty, use the vacant winterize or summer reopen. Landlords often keep the subscription on occupied doors and book this package when a door goes vacant, including across the river when the school-year lease ends.
